The 2015 of the same Grand Cru — same hill, a warmer year, the Forbes number the shop prints beside it.

The 2015 Château Du Parc is the other Saint-Émilion Grand Cru in the American cellar. The shop gives it the same critical frame as the 2016: 95 points from Forbes, the Raynaud and Landouar blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the blackberry and orange-peel nose, the floral hint, the chewy line.

Two thousand fifteen is the riper of the two seasons in most of Bordeaux. Here that reads as fruit that arrives early, with tannins that are firm rather than green. The maison still suggests two or three years if you want the extraction to soften. At $69 it is the more open door into Du Parc. The 2016, at $78, is the one to compare it with, not the one to replace it.

Buy them as a pair if you want to understand the estate instead of a single vintage. Six-bottle shipping applies on the shop.
