The Auguste rouge, dealcoholized. Certified organic. Black cherry, licorice, cedar — no buzz.

Le’ Zilch is not a compromise SKU invented in a boardroom. It is Château Auguste fruit from Entre-Deux-Mers, estate-crafted, certified organic by ECOCERT France, then dealcoholized. The maison’s promise is specific: it should echo the 90-point Château Auguste Rouge. Rich black cherry, fresh red fruit, soft integrated tannins, a thread of licorice and cedar. Clay-limestone slope, still, in a glass that will not write the evening off.

Serve at 65°F. Colder and the tannin shuts. Warmer and the missing alcohol shows its absence. At the right temperature it behaves like the red it comes from. The shop suggests a ribeye, which is a confident suggestion for a wine without alcohol and is exactly the point.

One bottle is $36. Three come as a $72 shipping offer. It belongs in the cellar page because it belongs to the estate, not in a separate “better for you” aisle.
